Description
The proposed study addresses the gaps in linkage and retention in drug treatment by developing and implementing an evidence-based, gender-specific, and trauma-informed intervention to reduce opioid use disorder and overdoses among women in the criminal justice system. The proposed intervention will link and retain women with recent criminal justice involvement in medications for opioid use disorder programs, identify and connect women with necessary social services, and provide women with opioid overdose response training.
