Aleksandra Zgierska, M.D., Ph.D., will present "Using Science and Teammanship to Address the Opioid Crisis" at an evening lecture and dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Lecture Room A at Penn State College of Medicine. Zgierska is an associate professor, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Zgierska is a senior researcher with expertise in research related to pain and opioid addiction. She is board-certified in family medicine and addiction medicine. Her federally-funded research focuses on improving outcomes in alcohol/drug use disorders, especially opioids, and she presents lectures related to opioid therapy and opioid addiction locally, nationally and internationally. |
